Dr. Sanaa Mrabet
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychotherapy and psychological assessments. After earning my undergraduate degree from Florida International University, I dedicated the onset of my career to working with autistic children (and those with other developmental delays): a notably fulfilling experience. I was thus inspired to pursue my graduate studies and ultimately earned a doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Albizu University.
I then completed my internship at the Goodman Psychological Services Center and postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology at Nova Southeastern University’s Mailman Segal Center for Human Development. Throughout my clinical training, I’ve enjoyed providing evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and adults impacted by a wide range of clinical conditions. I’ve also conducted psychological assessments to identify learning differences, ADHD, and autism.
Passion to help and serve
My ultimate goal as a clinician is to remove the stigma and fear that accompany these diagnoses while focusing on the individual and his/her strengths: providing the support necessary for my clients to thrive. I find personal meaning and satisfaction in my commitment to their success and address all avenues of concern while striving to assist families to the best of my ability.
During the assessment process, I go to great lengths to ensure caregivers understand their child’s unique profile, strengths and vulnerabilities, and recommendations for support. I am also fully cognizant of parent/family involvement in the evaluation process and strive to deliver clear diagnostic information in a compassionate manner, accordingly.
Regardless of any difficulties you are perhaps facing right now, I believe every individual can achieve his or her full potential by feeling accepted, heard, and understood. In therapy, I provide my clients with a safe and nonjudgmental space that empowers them to transform their lives for the better.
Outside of my practice, I continually look to better myself, live intentionally, and focus on the important things: recognizing life as a miraculous journey while always showing gratitude for my blessings, most notably the privilege of motherhood. In addition to supporting my community, traveling, and (most recently) taking Pilates, I adore spending time with my family.
